1,900,800 seconds=31680 minutes=528 hours=22 days=3 weeks!! That’s how long we have until we leave on our adventure. OMG is it coming fast. We still have so much stuff to get rid of and so many things to do!
Today I went and weighed the trailer. The good news is we have a little bit to spare, the bad is the tongue weight is not where we can spare it. I weighed the rear axle of the truck, the tongue, each axle of the trailer and the axles combined. We have most of what we will travel with in the trailer, so we are pretty close to being packed(minus food and toiletries) But we can weigh things as we load up, and have a good safe number we can’t pass.
We did not have a “sale” this weekend, but we continue to sell stuff through Facebook, craigslist, etc. We have definitely had our share of interesting characters come by and buy some interesting things. I wish I had more time to write about the various stereo types of people that we have encountered during the purge.
The Fair is in town, and if you don’t know, we live directly across the street from the fair grounds. So close that on the north and east side of our house is the fair parking fields, on the west side is another field, now inhabited by the “carnies” and their campers, trailers and shower units. And to the south of us, are the fairgrounds itself. So there is a lot of traffic around our house. Lots of livestock noise. The kids have some crafts, cakes and various projects they have entered.
The other night I was chillaxing in the hammock with Emmett, looked up, and saw the moon looking pretty cool, so I grabbed my camera and shot a few pics, I am still very amateur with photography, but its something I am going to be working on with my soon to be found free time!
Along this journey, we have mentioned a few other families doing the same thing that are documenting their journey on Facebook, YouTube, etc.
