Its been a while since we have had any updates, so I figured it was time. Its been a long couple of weeks. Several of us have been sick. Including myself which makes it hard to get things done. We are very close to being out of our house and moved into Harmony’s Daycare. We are going to do that so we can get this house ready to hit the market. There isnt a ton to do, but it definitely needs a freshen up. Being sick and having sick kids definitely makes that hard.
Getting the house on the market, really does represent a climatic shift in our adventure. We have been planning this for so long now, sometimes it doesn’t feel real. But taking the pictures off the walls, getting the direcTv shut off and things like that really hits home. It makes you think for a minute. This is as big a milestone in our adventure, as a child learning to crawl before he walks. We have been slowly selling alot of our personal belongings and buying some that we want or will need for our new life style.
We really want to have the kids produce a newsletter in one form or another. So we have been teaching them about writing news stories. Really just working on the basics, the: What, Where, When, Why and Hows. It can definitely be a difficult process for a 6 and 7 year old. We have decided that they are going to write their stories, but we are going to present it in a video format. This will also give them exposure to speaking to an audience. We will keep you posted on that. Their news reports at this time will be call the Fummins Family News Flash! On top of learning to write news, they have been working on some poetry. Its awesome to see what boys their ages come up with.
I pulled the roof rack off the Fummins, I am adding 22″ of length to it to allow for more storage. I am going to add the paddle board bars back to it, and have it remounted soon. I will get some more pictures added when i get that done. I need to get it into the shop, it has a leak on the hydroboost, and I have some rear shocks to install and a better fuel filter system for it. Other than that, most of its routine maintenance will be completed closer to our departure.
Well I think my pillow is calling, until next time, good night.
